Call your GP first! Always start by calling your GP. If he is absent, his answering machine will provide you with useful information such as the contact details of the doctor he has chosen as a replacement and/or the appropriate on-call service for nights and weekends.

The GBBW has a list of doctors available in Brussels. You will be directed to the nearest available GP.

The Athena Centrum

The Athéna Centrum, located in the centre of Brussels, offers medical and nursing consultations during the day for people who do not have access to their GP or for people without access to healthcare. A social service also welcomes patients who do not have access to healthcare, informing them of their possibilities for accessing care and then redirecting them so that they can be integrated into the traditional healthcare system.

Need a doctor in the evening or at the weekend?

You can call the GBBW on 02/201.22.22 or 1733. The "GBBW" will refer you either to a "Poste Médical de Garde" (PMG) or to the on-call services at home. You can also go to a PMG on your own initiative.
